On a Whim
On a whim, I just opened up my favorite book, Illusions - The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah, by Richard Bach,to get inspired. It's been a particularly crappy day, since I spilled a drink on my computer and killed it dead. After many hours at Apple, a new computer now; hopefully new attitude coming... if Illusions has any sympathy at all.
I blindly opened to page 130. Hmmmm... it doesn't say much about drowning a critical asset. But it does make me shift gears. So here is the quote:
No kidding. But boredom can be so cozy and comfortable! Where do you find the guts to sacrifice it? And who wants free and happily anyway?? Like I said, food for thought... PS - In There's a Yacht More to Life, you'll read how Illusions is the reason I met Winston, and also get a good taste of this reluctant messiah's quotes too. They open every chapter.
Winston Hovey and Cynthia Zvanut Hovey transformed their desire to simplify their lives and be free of all their “stuff” into a mutual second career in paradise, first running a pirate bar and then as crew on megayachts. Their new book, "There's a Yacht More to Life," spans 25 years of their adventurous career makeover. For more information contact Winston and Cynthia at firstname.lastname@example.org
