When I began learning my job as manager of Pirates Pub on Saba Rock in the British Virgin Islands, I had a real fear of my boss Gayla's computer. Well, not so much her actual computer... I was petrified of typing anything and accidentally deleting critical information and erasing banking records, wiping out inventory histories, crossing-up payroll, basically doing anything that might infuriate her.
Gayla, who had taught herself everything about computing -- not to mention video editing and graphic design in the electronic vacuum that was the BVI -- spoke words I will never forget, and use to this very day: "If you make a mistake, just hit 'Command Z.' You can always go back where you were before the mistake."
Hmmm... wouldn't it be great if life was like that... just hit "Command Z" and that part of your life, or those hurtful words you'd spoken, or that arm that's now broken, or that potbelly that grew unexplainably, would be only a figment of your imagination?
Could one of you please invent a "Command Z" for life? I'll be the first to buy it!
And speaking of buying... https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_21?url=s... for "There's a Yacht More to Life!" -- and no Command Z-ing it, either!
